Highlights of Published Materials

Keoki’s first real work of writing was put to paper in eighth grade as a semester long daily writing assignment. The story was about a professional-level skier who traveled around the world just enjoying every moment.

Since then, Keoki has authored hundreds of articles and posts over his career on various topics from hospitality to education, from taxation to strategic planning, and even from community events to golf tournaments. In addition, a number of articles have been written that feature him.

Portfolio Managers’ Recollected Perceptions of Risk Perception and Risk Preference After Experiencing the Puna Eruption

This study investigated the stability and permanency of risk preference (personal risk tolerance) before, during, and after a natural disaster. The study found that risk preference is stable and that there is confusion, which is causing false positives, between elements of risk perception (analytical analysis of risk) and risk preference.
